According to NORD, a company cannot discontinue making a drug without I believe a thirty day notice to the consumer under what they call the "Orpan Drug Law". A woman from NORD introduced the bill and got it passed. I would like to know what the deal is. Are you talking about Cortef suspension? Or the pill form? Just don't panick. I have been there and done that when they did this to the Cortef suspension. Worst case they do discontinue, there are alternative drugs for our kids to take. I have Upjohn's number AND I have NORD (National Organization for Rare Diseases) and see what is going on. Maybe Lynn T. knows something also. Just don't panic. Do you have enough Cortef this month? If not call your endocrinologist and explain what the pharmacist told you.
