On the last correspondance that we have back from the consultant that we have just seen they have started to title things differently here for his condtion. it now reads "Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, Virilising,Salt Wasting" All other times in correspondance it has just been: "Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia" I don't think that the impairment for aldosterone would just be limited to a certain severity somehow. To be honest it may very well be like CAH it self and be occuring for different individuals in varying degrees of severity. I am not sure about yourself though. I say below that HCT has sodium retaining properties, and I "think" (not too sure) that pred does also. But dex does not, so if you switch from the former to to the latter you may note some difference with sodium levels and renin levels for a while. have you changed any meds lately?Val
