Thanks everyone for the congrats! We are very excited about this new baby, already wondering what he/she will look like. I have already started the Dex, at about 5 weeks, and have genetic counseling scheduled on the 5th to set up a CVS. I am breast feeding my CAH baby now, so I have also set up an appt. with my primary care guy to see a nutritionist as well as an Endocrinologist. My ped. Endo said that he did not feel my baby would get much of my dosage of Dex through breast milk, but I am going to consider stopping the breast feeding as it makes me nervous. Right now I am pumping and throwing it out, only nursing 2-3 times a day. If this child is affected, I will stop nursing my daughter, if not, then I can continue safely as I feel. I had gestational diabetes with this baby, so along with the Dex treatment I have a double whammy of blood sugar problems. This is the need for the nutritionist to help me understand EXACTLY what it is I can eat, and how much of it. I was starving the first couple of days, but it has sort of waned away, although I think I could eat endlessly. I do not seem to fill up right now, so I am fighting. Have bought bags of veggies, (greens) to eat, trying to avoid too many carrots (natural sugars) and fruits. Cutting down (severely) on those things that convert to sugars in the breakdown has been difficult, but it is all worth it in the end. I do not want to affect this baby with malformations because I did not stick to a diet that would not harm him/her. Anyway, if I disappear for a few days I will be back to keep you all posted, having my tower cleaned so I will be without a computer for a day or two. Many blessings! KayeKaye
