I've heard about the ethnic link.   I myself don't fit it.  I'm English/Irish and am first generation in America (born in England to full-bred English and Irish parents) and I'm  a natural blond with no ethnic ancestors prone to the disorder that I'm aware of.  Obviously they had to be carriers or I couldn't possible have it.  While I'm sure it is more prevalent amongst certain ethnic groups, it still didn't disclude me.  Or I'm sure others like me.  Remember we all like to hide this thing, so it's not all out in the open yet.  I hear this ethnic link a lot.  But when you get right down to it, it can affect anyone.  I'm sorry for you and me and all of us.  We'll all do great, I'm sure, but it's like any broad-based typicification of ethnic groups.  Doesn't work in real life.  Good luck to you.  I wish you the very best.  Christine
