ValerieHi Val, seeing ous son's are about the same age, thought that you would like to know that we also inject 50mg (1cc). I just recently asked our endo if this should be increased since this is virtually the same amount they scripted when he was a baby. The doctor (obviously figuring out something on a calculator, becasue I could hear him over the phone figuring it out) said that amount was still fine yet reminded me that I don't have to be so exact when filling the syringe- if its more, just inject it. He said I could use the whole thing without harm, although he didn't think it necessary. He would rather the 50 MG and call him or go to ER if I felt the situation deemed it. After you have done the injection, even just once, it is immediatly "old hat". Now, I don't even hesitate -- it is not hard and you just do what you have to do. I was so nervous the first time I did it , that I had to have my sister ( pediatric RN) guide me word for word over the phone in the middle of the night!! She ended up making me laugh so much, it calmed me down and it was a cinch. It is like anything, the first time is always the most difficult! Then your a pro!!!!!!
Valerie
PS. Sorry to hear of your problems with Chloe - seeing my daughter is around that same age ( did we conceive at the same time with our kids? :) ), teenage rebellion is right around the corner for me too. My grays are multiplying as I write....
