SandraAnyway, I was wondering what kind of miscalculation they made on your son's dose. I am curious just because it seems that sometimes when you have all these numbers running around in your head, it gets cofusing! How was it that they were actually giving him half of the dose he needed! That is a big, big mistake.
One more question, Dr. Su told me that Dr. New said that if I was worried about the androgen breakthroughs then they could do a 24 hour test to see the breakdown of ....
You'll have to forgive me, but I just read the email and I was getting ready to go to bed when I saw your post. I'll have to look at my email from Dr. Su again. I'm not sure if this is worth the trouble or if I should just go ahead and switch. It really shouldn't be that hard. I think I am thinking about this too much and not really knowing what to do because I am new to this and I don't know what information is correct. Kindof like Val says, the Dr.'s all seem to agree to disagree on the treatment and there are a million studies supporting each different argument! So, go figure. What is parent with a newly diagnosed child supposed to do? I thought that after 4 months I was getting somewhere but I'm getting frustrated that I'm more confused than ever and on something that should be so simple as when to give the darn pill!!!! Which Dr. do you believe in? Eventually I will have to entrust them to give me the correct information, right?
By the way, how long ago was your son diagnosed? Maybe I'll email you the 24 hr. thing that Dr. Su mentioned and see if your son ever had this done. Thanks and sorry about the rant up above, but I guess that is what this board is here for, kind of!:)
