ValLOL Betsy! That good to hear!
To Sandra,
The endo before Dr New---I presume the one you just went to see---sounds nice.&ndShKôÓÓ©fâ_0ƒÃgh she is wanting to dose differently at night---to be honest if I HAD to dose twice and choose which dose to put in the evening, it would be the larger one Sandra. (Im speaking hypothetically here---as if I had no other choice but to accept twice daily dosing and those doses). The reason being that you do need the higher amount to make sure there is some there at 3am! I think giving Jackson 1.25mg may have been a complete waste of time.
However, as I said doing the above still leaves you with the quandry of growth hormone---but it is conventional way of dosing and is what we were doing with Ashley before this change. We only made the change because we lost a great deal of growth from birth to 7 years and because of what happened to Ashley. For now, whilst your on twice a day dosing, I would stick with what the doctor has suggested, until Jackson moves to three times daily dosing. Then I would consider his growth and after he has had his first bone scan---you will be able to make a better judgement.
All I am doing here is making sure other kids parents do not let it stretch 7 years before they take thing into their own hands--because I do not beleive that the lost growth is gained back. They used to think that keeping them over suppressed would be reversable, but it is not. So long as his evening dose never goes too high ( and I mean like 10mg nocturnally like I accepted and shoved down my childs neck) then I think you will be ok and should achieve steady growth.
Right now I'm outta here! One tequila, two tequila...hic...
