Hi Carol,

Yes, Dr. Su told me that if I was really concerned about him not making excess androgens we could do a 24 hour urine for 17 ketosteroids. How we would do this, I don't know!

Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm going to do that.  I think what I am going to do is wait to see what kind of control he is currently under. Once he has his bone age done then , like Val said, we will have  better idea of how to handle his dosing. In the meantime, though I am going to keep reading up on different types of dosing.

There is no standarization of dosing CAH people. I guess that is a good thing because some might do better on one than another. It would be interesting if on the next seminar/lecture that Kelly puts together to do a talk on doseage. Best times, circadian body rhythms etc... I think many would be interested in that.

My 7 yr old has strep throat! We just got back from the Dr.  I made the poor guy stay upstairs. He feels like he is banished. Well, not exactly. He has the nintendo and a VCR with many movies and a rather large selection of books! He just wants to be where everybody else is! I just don't want it to spread!

Another piece of info I found out today is that my DNA test came back showing that I carry the exxon(sp) 4 mutuation.

Oh well, better get some laundry done!! It never ends,

Thanks

Sandra
