sorry I thought that I should show...

how I calculated what should be given where: 3am dose is 2.50mg. That would mean definately cover him I fee until 7am when he has his large dose, I figured that even six hours later there would be traces left of that dose and it is just a means of meeting the small rise that starts in the blood of cortiol with normal circadian rythyms. At 7am I give him 7.50mg. This 6 hours later would mean that there would still be some amounts---although small left hanging around, but as he is due a dose on 3.15pm when he arrives home from school, I would say that it covers him adequately. Also as there is possibly more stress during the school day and more exertion expended, I felt that was better. The 3.15pm dose of 3.75mg I figured needed to be that way as opposed to the 5mg I WAS giving him at that time. It's just that even giving him 3.75mg there would still be small traces of that at 9.15pm working off your calculations posted here, and I thought that small traces from the 3.75mg would be much better than what was left over from 5mg. Since even negligable amounts at that time would be excreted slowly after he has gone to sleep as it stated in that paper about bioavailability. As I knew he needed cutting back anyway, I decided to cut back where it was less needed. 7.50mg 7am 3.75mg 8.30am 1.88mg 1pm =1.88mg would probably see him through since there would be a lull after lunch in the cortisol levels. 3.75mg 3.15pm 1.88mg 4.45pm 0.94mg 9.15pm You see that the levels are naturally coming down to nothing around 9.15pm. He is usually asleep by then anyhow. What little that is left of 0.94mg would be slower to be excreted according to that paper anyway, but would certainly be non existent by midnight. 2.50mg 3am 1.25mg 4.30am 0.63mg 9am You will see by the above small dose that even by 9 am he would still have traces in the blood. However it would not be enought to meet the 7am peak and that is where is next dose is anyhow so 7.50mg would be given on top of whatever traces where left from the 3am dose and boosting that. I "think" I worked it out right didn't I? LOL!!!
