The doctor sounds like she knows what she is seeing, which interpreting her solution to that being Florinef, sounds very much to me like she is just waiting for the renin results to come back to confirm that. I believe Jackson was taken off florinef over 4-5 weeks ago now and to be honest the few days that you did in Maria News care analyzing his levels may not have been enough to determine whether he is salt waster or not. If he has been sick lately and IS a salt waster, then not taking florinef could be quote dangerous. It sounds to me like the doctor is just being very cautious and erring on the safe side to save him have a crisis. There really is no harm whatsoever in taking the florinef until the other tests results come back and in fact I would start him right away if you are contemplating travel with him. When did the illness start that Jackson has had? Where the blood tests you received the results for today done BEFORE that or after he started with such? If they were done before illness, then it is a possibility that Jackson is salt waster. That is not such a bad thing. If he needs florinef he will become very sick without it. Ring up your doctor and do not get off the phone until you have spoken with her or ask for a call back urgently as you will be travelling and need to determine Jacksons meds.
