Re: Hair teased

Thank you Val and Aimee for your responses to my message.  As a grandmother I am indirectly involved with my granddaughter. Until a little over a year ago we had no clue that she had LOCAH, in fact I had never heard of it.  My granddaughter developed pubic hair at 7 1/2 and my daughter took her to an Ped Endo in Michigan..  At first, the Doc thought it was precocious puberty.  From that first visit, which was around October it took until April before she was started on medication.  Her lab tests and bone test determined the diagnosis. I have seen a change in my granddaughter's appearance that has been gradual and continuous since she started on the medication.  The weight gain is certainly not normal  and of course the excess hair is noticeable.  My granddaughter has been concerned about her excessive hair, not yet aware of the hair on her back, but is aware that she has excessive hair on her arms and legs. I don't remember this being evident before the start of the Prednisone.  Do you have any suggestions on how to approach the Doctor with this concern?  Thank you!!
