It sounds like her bone age is too immature of her chronological age.  That is why the doctor has reduced her evening dose.  The 5mg may have been hampering her growth a little.  It's good that they have done this but i would keep an eye on her growth for the next few months on her chart at outpatients and also on the bloods since they have dropped back so much.
