ValLooking at the old levels, it would seem that she was over suppressed. I think I put here before that they generally need to do something about it if the levels come back consistently under 10nmol/L with 17 OHP. Gary Warne said that this is not good on a long term basis and it will affect growth. Hope your feeling better about her current levels today. It would be wise to do as Laura says and just wait for the next lot of labs. Then if they have shot up from what they were, you will know that she is headed in the wrong direction. even then, like Carol says, it would be good for a while to let her have some loose control (providing it does not get too out of hand!) and take advantage of the growth spurt that may occur. Although personally, I would much rather that Ashley was sort of kept on an even keel as opposed to allowing a little escape like that but when they raise the dose, just to do that very fractinionally to avoid the yo yo effect.
You do I feel need two lab results before you take action. Sometimes it may be more. Although, stress I suppose before a blood draw---if it happens most of the time for your child---is a factor, I would not rely upon it---and there is no harm checking the labs again after a month. better than 6 months like it was here Julia! The damage is not reversable.
