That happened to me too, and now I have a healthy and perfect baby boy - 5 months old - Anthony Roger.  Anyway in April of 2000 - I was pregnant and they did not see a heart beat at 7 or 8 weeks. They thought maybe it was too early and I rescheduled another ultrasound at 10 weeks.. stil nothing. And nothing at the CVS appointment. There was a pregnancy but it stop developing was not viable. I had a D&C but the doctor didn't do it right and I bleed too much and bleed and bleed - and had to have another D&C (by another doctor because the one that did the first one refused to do another one and just telling me it was going to be okay). I am glad that I had the second D&C because I there was still fetal tissue and I was getting fevers. It was not OKAY. Anyway, I became pregnant again in November 2000. Everything was fine. Perfect heart beat at 7 weeks.... NORMAL male chromosomes (no downs, etc) at 11 weeks, and no CAH.
