Jake takes one 5 mg tab Cortef 3 times daily

Savannah takes 1.25 (one quarter of 5 mg tablet) 3 times daily.

Their endocrinologist figured out their body mass and put them on the same mg. of tablet so that if I was out of one prescription then I could borrow one of Savannah's tablet's and give it to Jake or borrow one of Jake's tablets and cut it up and give the necessary amount to Savannah.  Pretty clever I thought.  It kind of goes along the lines with what you guys are saying; use 1 mg time released tablets  and vary the dose by child (some would get 1 1/2 pills, some would get 2 1/4 pills etc.).

One problem we run into though is that some of the kids are on Dex, some on Cortef and some on Pred.  Which one are we going to rally around Cortef?  Remember Upjohn messed this up before when they tried to vary the ingredients.  Are our kids going to be the ginuea pigs?  I'm just worried about another tragic story like Roberta's daughter if the contents are altered without instant perfection.
