We flew at the end of this past Sept., and had no problems even though I was carrying the solu-cortef and syringes (I always carry more than one, after having one break on me while trying to insert it into the vial once!). I was prepared with a letter from my doctor, and was ready to wave her medic-alert bracelet in their faces if need be, but I was not challenged on this at all. I would not board a plane without the solu-cortef; kids can get sick so quickly, and an hour or two flight can be TOO LONG to wait for an injection if your child has vomitted, etc. Maybe you should call the airline ahead of time, explain your situation, and hopefully they can give you their guidelines (if any) about boarding with syringes and medication (personally, I think some places are taking this security thing a bit too far - what are you going to do with a syringe?? Poke someone to death?!?). Hope you have a nice - and uneventful! - flight! Blessings.
