LauraHello Sue! Hope all is going well for you. I used to put the pill in the two ounces of formula that I also put the salt water solution in. The pill dissolves REALLY fast. Just make sure you shake it well. I also breast fed, so this worked well for us. I used to put her salt solution in 2 ounces of formula, threw the florinef pill in there and shook. She sucked that down, then I just nursed her for the rest of her feeding. If you have decided to not breast feed anymore, than just put the pill in her formula. BUT I always put her meds. in a two ounce preemie bottle because I was SURE she would drink 2 ounces without falling asleep, in turn drinking ALL her meds. I eventually changed to all bottle feeding when she was 7 months old, and I still put some of her formula with the meds. in a 2 ounce bottle, then made her a regular bottle without meds. It may seem like a lot of work but I got used to it. I had the peace of mind that she got ALL her meds. in that first 2 ounce bottle. Good luck.
P.S. today at age 4 and a half, she chews it with no problem.
