I am just wondering the connection between cortef dose and infection. My daughter, Carmen is 3 yrs old now, with salt losing CAH. She has been on the same cortef dosage since she was 1 1/2 yrs old. We did the blood test last month and everything was normal. I do understand the rational behind the need to keep her on as low dosage of cortisone as possible, but it just seems to me that she is getting sick more often now. Well it does not help that she has just started on preschool 2 months ago with the cross infections and all, but sinced then, she has been sick every other week. My question is that if she is put on a higher dose of cortef, would it help her in fighting off the infections more easily? Any advise would be appreciated before I talk to her endo about this, so that I would be better prepared.... Thanks in advance. p/s: By the way, I am the one whose daughter has the chicken pox not so long ago and with so many Sue's' around, I will use suec from now on...
