Dear Kym,

Your son's bone age is delayed by a year and a half, which would point towards oversuppression, but I am wondering if this might have to do with when doses of hydrocortisone are given, rather than the total amount, since you don't mention him having some of the other "classic" symptoms of oversuppression, such as excessive weight gain or a "moon face."

I've been noticing how many other parents have expressed this same worry recently.  When you say that your son is very small, I am assuming you mean both height and weight.

What is your son's dosing regimen like?  When does he take his meds, and what are the sizes of the doses at each of these different times?  How long has he been on this same regimen?  And when you say he is very small, what size ( approx. height and weight) are you talking about?  Does he have any other symptoms such as excess body hair?
