We had our first draw with Emla and it was great! After reading Amber's post I decided not to use tape, so I wrapped the area with plastic wrap instead! I worked very well and was very easy to remove. The nurses at her clinic said it was actually very similar to the expensive wraps that were sold for Emla. Amber, maybe this will work for you next time!
