ValYa know if it was at all about height and my son wasn't gonna end up riddled with bone loss and osteoporosis too with over treatment, then perhaps it would not be TOO bad.
May I remind you that people stare at others that are quite short. It makes them feel very undermined. My sister (now 28--non CAH) is only 4 ft and 11 and she fits the same clothes as my damn daughter. NOWHERE can she get proper clothing--she shops at childrens shoes and clothing shops! I think Steve has got it right here---except he did not mention all the other damn side effects that we are concerned about with over treatment and lack of sifficient monitoring. Yes I am grateful my son is even alive with treatment, but have him sick as an adult and unable to enjoy life due to Osteo and short stature! I have no problem loving him enough right NOW to do something about preventing it--not shut my eyes and carry on blindlessly with his treatment--even when people take the time to share their findings!!! Why do you think we do that???
