I belong to a pediatric endocrinology listserv. One of the doctors posted the note attached below about the difficulties getting Cortef. Another doctor suggested that generics could be substituted until the shortage is over. You might want to ask your doctor about generics. The only problem is that you can't get hydrocortisone in smaller than 10 mg. tabs. The docs are worried about this shortage too!
