JoI was looking on previous pages to see if this had already been addressed but couldn't find the info I needed. So my apologies if this has already been discussed, but I'm wondering if someone could explain this bone age thing to me. How close should a child be? (bone age matching chrono age) and how reliable are tests done before the age of three?
Just received our daughter's results the other day-dr not concerned, however would like to have the know-how to interpret this myself somewhat intelligently. I understand that if the bone age is well ahead of chrono age, then that is an indication of undersuppression, that is, androgens breaking through to accelerate bone growth. Correct? I would assume then that oversuppression would slow bone age??
Any takers??:)
