ValerieHi Kym - I am not really the best person to answer your questions, but you will have to remind all of us how old your son is and also can you tell us what unit(s) your son's tests were measured in? For example, his 17-OHP @ 83, is that 83 ng/dl? If your doctor didn't tell you, call and find out. At the same time, ask for a copy of the results for your records. Also, where is his bloodwork sent to? Is it Mayo? Their website will give you the reference values for newborns, prepubertal males/females. As Carol has mentioned before, these results are for "normal" ( I HATE to use that term, but you know what I mean!) children, not CAH children. If you get a copy from your endo, it will most likely state right on it, the "normal" reference values and then you can ask your endo what numbers he looks for and feels is appropriate for your son. Hope this helps a little.
