CindyAndrew,
I have the opposite problem with my CAHSW son (he is 2 1/2). I can't get him to eat anything. I can't even get him to finish a cookie!
I believe that being hungry and sleeplessness both can be signs of oversuppression. However, it's hard to tell with a 19 month old. They are growing so fast and if he is teething that can make sleeping a nightmare. It seems like both my kids were teething from about 4 to 18 months!
My son was also very cranky and downright mean for about the first 2 years of his life. I really felt like some of it was due to high blood pressure from the florinef (I think it gave him headaches). His blood pressure was high every time we had it tested, but when we reduced the florinef dosage, his 17-OHP and plasma renin would shoot out of control. We finally have been able to reduce the florinef to 1 1/2 tablets per day (down from 2)and I swear he is a different child. He is as sweet as he can be (at least most of the time).
Also, as far as sleeping is concerned, my son with CAH is actually a much better sleeper than than my son who does not have CAH (his is 5 now). My older son didn't sleep through the night until he was about 2 1/2! However, that was completely a result of poor parenting! I think we are getting a little better the second time around.
Anyway, I'm sure that wasn't helpful at all but I haven't posted in so long I just felt like I had to say something!! Good luck!!!
