Re: To Carol M-organization

Dear Sandra,

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but, unfortunately, my files are really rather haphazardly organized. I also started out keeping a binder, but as you said, that got filled up very quickly.  Now I am much more selective about what I print out.

The best tip I can probably pass along is that, over time, I have come to rely much more on my computer to organize my files.  I tend to save ALOT of stuff, so it is much more space efficient, and I like having things at my fingertips.  One feature I have learned to love is Windows Explorer.  It allows you to see everything on your system at one time---all the different directories, folders, subfolders, etc.---you can rename files and shuffle things around to your heart's content, just by clicking and dragging.  Right now, my computer filing system is also horribly organized, but the one thing I seem to have going for me is a pretty good memory about remembering what I've seen, and in which "shoebox" I've stored it.  One of these days, I do plan to clean things up a bit. If  I have any major revelations, at that time, I'll happily pass them along.  Good luck!
