From one of my Listservs, copy of a letter by a peds endo to Pharmacia's customer service rep and her reply:

Barbara,

Just to clarify, per my pharmacy contacts, when they call customer service, they are told that they can not call and get drop shipments.  They are told their wholesalers must call and request.

There was a production lot which didn't meet standards in late December and
the 5 and 10 mg tablets were on backorder; the 10 mg tablets were released
and shipped and the 5 mg tablets should be released this week and sent to
cover backorders by next week. 

If an emergency order of Cortef is needed, the Pharmacy can contact
Pharmacia customers service at 800-821-7000 and request a next day drop
shipment.
There has never been an issue with "not making these tablets"; we apologize
for the production difficulties.
