DebbiWOur scenario for my 6 yr old son is the opposite from yours. He is SW and at the 10% for height (but consistently). I asked about the timing of meds infererring with growht hormone surge at night and she said that it had more to do with REM sleep than and not a clock time. Anyway, she is going to check his growth hormone levels at next visit, just to see....
Anyway.....what she shared with me is a drug that is not presently used for CAH(but for cancer). but she is watching to see if there are trials or good results. I can't remember the name, but it was not the one I have heard before(the two drugs the NIH were using). It blocks the estrogen and allows testosterone. Not having a scientific mind who has to ponder things a while to get a full understanding, I know I am not explaining this as well as I would like. But the long term benefits would hopefully be have improved growth. Perhaps someone here has heard of this and could explain better?
BTW, she still stands by the large nighttime dose.
