ValWell maybe if they worked out that these kids went to bed at 8pm (for arguments sake) and that they had their tablet at that time and it needed to be effective from 2-3am onwards, what we need is a portion of that tablet not acting from the last afternoon dose (which would be 12-13 hours) and 8pm (which would be say 7-8 hours) for it to be good. I think if we were going to try to make things easy for parent's x3 times a day dosing would be good---and the last dose being around 2-3pm of a tablet that had some portion of it ready to be absorbed and then a sustained release capsule inside that that was not absorbed for 12-13 hours (until 2-3am ). However, what I am now wondering is from swallowing it to it being out of the system (to put it politely!) how long does that process take? When would it be in the stomach? When would it be in the small intestine and then at what point and how long would it be in the large intestine?
