We have always gotten compliments on my daughter's cheeks. "Oh, Good thing she's a girl with the color on those cheeks!" They used to be HUGE (oversuppression). Not only that but they were SUPER red. Little apples on her big cheeks, it seemed to range from red to extremely red. I never thought much of the redness except that I've noticed it has lessoned as the cheeks have gone down in size from say, over a year ago, as her meds have been reduced. Then just recently, I sent my sister some pictures of my daughter. She wondered if perhaps she had a food allergy that might cause the cheeks to be so red, (her kids have tons of food allergies, so she knows the symptoms). I said I was curious and that I would look into it. Then I mentioned that once a woman asked me if my daughter had rosacea. I quickly denied that. Then tonight I was doing research on rosacea and found it can be steroid induced!! Most of the articles were about topical steroids (I found one small reference to oral) but come on, in the body had got to be worse than on the body! They mentioned heredity playing a part, no one in our families had it though. I just thought this was interesting as I've heard others on the board talk about their child's red or flushed cheeks. Hmmmm interesting. The article I kept getting referred to was a pay per view of $9 on this one site. Bummer. Maybe I'll break down from curiosity! Anyone heard of this? JuliaJulia S
