Yesterday took my boys (ages 3 and 8 - Salt Wasting CAH) the National Institute of Health in Washington DC (I live in the Washington DC area). It was wonderful. Here is a web site with a fact sheet on CAH
Dr Deborah Merke was responsible for the recall of the liquid cortef because is was not working because it was not mixing properly. My sons were born in 1993 and 1998. both were on the liquid cortef. I had a daughter but she died from an adrenal crisis. The liquid cortef was not working for her and she had a fever (the doctor insisted to just double the cortef and stop calling him... she was in shock in the morning - she was 2 years old .. died on 1 Sept 97).
