Here, we can only get scripts from the pharmacy one month at a time---unless your doctor is really nice and will allow you to collect all at once. I have to fill a form out at the chemist now evertime I get a script to make sure that we do not have to just pick our scripts up like rations! It cracks me up when people devise these really frustrating ways for folks to obtain their life saving medication. I mean at one point the chemist would not give us the whole script stating that it had to be endorsed by his Doctor for us to have ALL the script at once. So for three months I had to collect the monthly script exactly one week before it was due to run out. When Ash was sick I would be going in before that and this smart chemist would note I was picking up the next months supply to early. When I next went to the Doctor I said you have to endorse the script so that the chemist will give me the three months all at once. He tried to say it was just for folks that has diddficulty collecting meds that. I explained running out before the month was up---and he then said, well there is nothing I need write on the script---it is the pharmacist who does all that. So I toddled off with the script back to the same pharmacy and repeated all that was said. He argued with what the doctor was saying. It seemed I was in the middle getting the run around. It took me getting angry in the end for him to ring up our doctor and check the story with the meds being doled out all up front. I mean it seems sometimes that there is always some idiot pen pushing making all these silly ways of saving the health service some money---i.e. example--the folks that may not need three month supply may not go back for the second or third script so it remains on the shelf---even though you have paid for it! Sucks. They gain in that, but people like me get frustrated when we REALLY need the stuff all at once. I could go on...Val
