Dear Colleagues:
Due to an increase in demand over the past several months and an issue
related to supply by a third-party manufacturer, shortages of Pharmacia's
CORTEF (hydrocortisone tablets 5 mg and 10 mg strengths, have arisen.  We
are working to address the situation as quickly as possible, and anticipate
full availability of the product by mid-March.
In the meantime, Pharmacia Corporation is striving to minimize the situation
by allocating supply for the most critical cases.  If your patients require
an emergency supply, or if you have questions regarding the availability of
CORTEF, please call 800-821-7000.
