I had the CVS done. The more I relaxed during the procedure, the less I felt. They did have to poke a second time during the procedure because they were not in line with where they wanted to be. I had a bit more pain the second poke... some cramping like pain.... when I relaxed myself again I felt better. Mind over matter REALLY works. <smile>

  I knew within a couple of days after the CVS that we were having a girl. I then had to wait another week to find out that she was NOT affected by the CAH. I could then gradually wean off the Dex. Going off the dex gradually is important. You do not need to stay on the dex if the baby is an unaffected girl. Only the time between finding out GIRL and finding out UNAFFECTED...... I hope that is what the doctor was thinking.
