I am in the same boat as you right now I am almost 12 weeks along and I too have a SWCAH daughter age 2 And a non cah daughter who is 5. I have been on the dex for a month now and notice no side effects. We are still trying to figure out which test to have done. There are possible things that could go wrong with both tests so it is a hard decision. I asked the doctor about the cvs stories I have heard about the babies possibly losing a limb from it and they said that is only known to happen if the cvs is done before the 10th week. The amnio stories I have heard are only a percent chance of miscarrring after wards.

Both of my doctors said that if the baby is non cah and a girl they will take me off the dex same as if it was a boy. the only need for the Dex is to help the baby get the hormones it needs to finish devopling
