BetsyYou might try getting some good salt without the chemicals added. Companies like Morton's etc often add chemicals to their products to keep it from caking up and which result in a bitter taste.
Most of the good salts are from the sea and dried naturally in the sun. An added bonus is that the products contain all the natural minerals like potassium and magnesium that everybody needs, and are especially good for CAH people. Plus, since they don't taste bitter or metallic like regular table salts, chances are more will be used because it enhances the taste rather than masking it. Most, but not all, require the use of a grinder (not unlike a pepper grinder). The salts and grinders are available from many gourmet markets, particularly from ones with a French theme as France produces many excellent sea salts. You can also find a huge variety on-line, try a google search using "sea salt" as your search. Here's one site with a good variety: http://www.celtic-seasalt.com/
A good site will list the raw mineral content for their products.
