Hi Laura-Our ped endo does not reccommend stress dosing at all. In fact, she is adamant about doubling with a fever 101 or higher, or with vomitting (then 50mg IM with a repeated vomit). I usually ere on the cautious side and double at 100, because usually the fever is on the way up. And I don't wait for the second vomit to give the shot anymore, because it really helps avoid problems. I can also double her dose if she vomits once due to car sickness (but only if it's once, and if she is not sick otherwise). And of course, IV meds during surgery, double and triple before and after. Wev'e been through lots of emotional stress, but have never stress dosed. In the summer, she needs shade every so often, lots of water, gatorade and salty snacks. Iv'e heard cortisol levels rise with "snuggly contact"! I don't know if it's true, but my daughter, now 5 1/2 loves to snuggle alotPamela
