Well it is hard to say. My endo. says treating CAH patients is more like a trade. EACH child has different, yet the same needs. They all need fine tuning to their own needs. Ask the doctor why he chose to not adjust. My thought would be, if his levels are rising that much, he needs to adjust the meds. But perhaps you have already and the endo. is waiting for more of an adjustment to take place. Did he say when to come back and get them re checked? I feel that is quite a jump BUT I am not an endocrinologist and I don't know you childs body. I would question ANYTHING that is not to your satisfation. Challenge him. If he is not up for your questions, get a new endo. I am always asking questions and making sure I get the answers. I believe my daughters levels were not in the norm for her age and weight ect. and I do believe he said not to adjust it because of the other results. Like renin ect. SO perhaps it has to do with ALL the results. Go figure, isn't CAH such a "grey" area. Good luck!Laura
