We are instructed to take our daughter to emerg. in the following circumstance: she vomits, we double her meds, and she vomits within half and hour OR if she vomits or has diarrhea more than 3 times in a 24 hr period. CAH kids can dehydrate SO quickly, I wouldn't fool around. Keep a close eye on your child - day AND night. Make sure they can be roused and keep giving them pediatlyte, etc. If you are at all in doubt - even the slightest! - take them to emergency right away. Speaking as a parent who lost a sick CAH child to adrenal crisis after only ONE episode of vomitting, I would advise erring on the side of caution. I will pray for you both, that the "flu" would be over with quickly!
