Has anyone ever had an adrenalectomy? I know this was a solution for CAH many years ago. OR has your endocrinologist ever suggested having the adrenal glands removed because the CAH was SO bad? If yes, why do they suggest to remove them? I read in the website for NADF (National Adrenal Foundation), that Addisons patients seem to follow just about the same treatment for their disease as CAH patients do. (Addisons being a disease with NO function of the adrenal glands) So then why did they used to suggest removing them? There seems to be no benefit if they have about the same treatment as a CAH patient. Any information on any of this would be appreciated. Thanks!Laura
