More Crisis during Teenage years??

The new community that we moved into a few months ago has a wonderful Community Health Care Plan, where detailed info of our daughter's CAH (condition, treatment, doses, doctors, etc) is on file at the hospitals, local emerg. room, all ambulances, etc. All health care workers in our new community will be familiar with CAH, have necessary drugs on hand at all times, and be familiar and prepared for emergency treatment! It's great! But here's my question: when the public health worker came to our house to get all the pertinent information, she (who had obviously been checking into CAH, because she had more than average knowledge of all aspects of it) mentioned something off-handed about that we, as her parents, were well aware that adrenal crisis WOULD be more of a problem - she made it sound like almost commonplace - during puberty - like we knew all about this and would be expecting it. Is this true? I guess it could make sense, since hormone levels will be harder to monitor/ control during this period, but this is the first that I've heard of this. Has anyone else been "warned" about increased incidences of adrenal crisis during puberty?? How about those of you who have already had CAH kids go through puberty, or have CAH and are beyond the teen years already - what were your experiences?? Thanks ahead of time for the info!
