Our Endo wrote the Rx for a set number of cortef tablets a day.  My Rx says #120 (per mo)- but a regular 1 mo supply would be 90 tabs since she takes 3 tabs a day.  This allows for thoes extra doses that might become necessary.  Maybe you can get your endo to write the rx this way
