Re: Endo Doctors

I posted this on the other site as well so others could also comment  if they disagree with the content so you can get as much info as possible and take some positive steps forward asap.

It is tough finding a good endo that looks at you as a person and not just a patient. The Addisons board is listing doctors who are doing a good job and therefore being recommended by board members. It has only just started but if you are lucky maybe you are close to one.

Did you see the post regarding the circadian rythmn debate on Danny's board because to me intuitavely it looks as though you have an androgen breakthrough because of low HC in the early am.  I think looking at prednisolone(spelled wrong I am sure) to give you better control through the night would be something to look at with an endo. Many people on the addisons board also take HC along with the pred during the day for better control of energy levels. during the day. Just because you are not a child also does not mean you do not need fluronef so whoever furnished you with that info is ill informed about CAH and adrenal insufficiency.
If you post your dosing schedual maybe some others can comment.
My knowledge base on CAHyperplasia comes purely by osmosis from more informed parents and CAH contributers as my son has CAHypoplasia but understanding CAHyperplasia helps me get a handle on Liam's condition as sources are slim. If I am off base others will correct me but you will get enough info here to formulate some questions for your endo.  TC
