SandraHi Laura,
I just wanted to get your opinion on Jackson's new dosing schedule since you know so much about the circadian body rhythm. My (Jackson's) endo switched him to 3x's a day. He take a 1/4 tab at 6:00am and 1/4 tab at about 2:30pm and 1/4 tab about 10 or 10:30pm.
He is still waking up to nurse about 2:30 or 3:00 but that seems to be changing too. The last two nights he has slept from 8:30pm to 5:30am.
I guess my question is, what do you think, based on that chart you put up, that I should dose? By the way, my endo didn't give me any specific times. She just told me 3x's a day. She left the times pretty much up to me. She did say that she thought he was going to have an increase since he was growing but I'm not so sure that he will need one. She said she would be inclined to give the largest dose at night which I can't understand. Wouldn't the cortef be out of his system by the time he needed it most?
Now, I would love to get up at 2 am to dose but when I was getting up at 6 to give him his meds after feeding him at 3 or 4, I would miss his mouth and end up having to dissolve another 1/4. I'm not good at waking up! :( So, I need to have a time frame that I can stick to but still give Jackson the best benefit.
By the way, how are your girls doing?
Thanks,
Sandra
