Hi Sandra,

Schedules are tough with a baby, huh?  The 6am, 2:30pm, 10pm schedule is probably as good as you’ll get without an early morning alarm clock.  I’d get the first dose in as early as possible, and the last dose as late as possible.  If you can be consistent with getting the first dose by 6am, I’d make that the biggest dose.

Your endo wants the late dose to be big because most of it is gone by the time it’s needed.  The problem is that the biggest part of it will be running around his body while it is not needed.  It’s a trade-off.  More when it is not needed vs. less when it is needed.  We’ve answered the dilemma with the 3am dose, but I don’t have a baby and a couple of young ones anymore.  If it makes you a grumpy zombie, it may not be worth it to you.

Sorry, I don’t have any answers that aren’t a bit painful!  Lots of kids do well on the schedule you’re proposing.  It beats the pants off of 2x a day dosing. :)
