Hi,

Last night I started getting all shakey,weak like my body was shutting off and I started vomiting around 2 a.m. after that I took some more prednisone, and an hour later I was vomiting even more. I took a bigger dose of prednisone and if I vomited again was going to the ER.

I can count on both my hands the amount of times that I'VE vomited in my 31 years, so it isn't alot. This vomiting was weird, it wasn't like I had an up-set stomach or the flu, all that I'm going through is a heavy menstraul cycle and on medication for anemia The vomit just started coming up along with feeling shakey and a cold sweat, also the area in my mouth became stiff. I'm not a salt waster, just a simple virilizer but this really freaked me out, I'm thinking adrenal crisis  (not me...Oh...no !) and it came on so quick.

Has any parent with a non-salt waster ever had this experience or does this sound similar to someone that is a salt waster ? I've had experience like this two other times in my life Even though I've had CAH since birth, it wasn't until I was 18 that an intern told me about increaseing the prednisone during times of illness.  I feel better today, still going to the doctor on Monday.
