STILL a mystery. We now have seen the fifth doctor. This time it was a pediatric dermatologist that squeezed us in at 8:30 this morning. It took a good 45 minutes to an hour to get there. NOT a fun ride. He has no idea what this is. He did rule out the milk allergy. We have a scratch test on her back as we speak. We keep this patch on her back, covered, until Wed. We take it off Wed., and examine the results of the test Thurs. It is a test for nickle allergy. It is the ONLY thing I could think of. She wears her Medic I.D. bracelett on that wrist that is mostly effected with this rash. It is simply a shot in the dark, that I KNOW will not pan out. But we have to start elimidating. Stainless steal does have some nickle consistancy in it, but it is supposed to be non allergic. So go figure IF it is the Medic I.D. bracelett. The other thing he says it LOOKS like is a rash that was a product of a virus. She has been healthy (knock on wood) with no viruses in the past few months. SO, go figure. She did sleep Saturday, but not Sunday once again. SO frustrated. I feel for this kid, but she is SUCH a trooper. She takes it all so well. Smiling away at the doctors, as I am swearing under my breath at all of them. I have searched the Internet high and low for SOME ideas of what this could be. We have washed and rewashed her clothing ect. Foods are ruled out, she barely eats anyway. Grr. So frustrated. Thank you to all who have wrote encouraging words to me and for input on the milk allergies. You guys are great. Will keep you updated. Will know more Friday.Laura
