AdinaHAimee,
Sorry... I wouldn't know yet on the Dex vs pred. I'll get back to you on that as soon as they find out why my levels are so bad. Our family endo uses all three (Dex, pred. and Cortef) depending on the patient and severity. He calls Dex the "big guns" and told me he won't use it until it is a last resort... please remember though that is only one endo's view. There are many variations of other endos that only use Dex, or only use Cortef, etc. Personally, my best friend and I discussed this once and we both think some of them get a kickback from the company to use one over the other occasionally... *** aside -- have you ever seen their notepads and pens? They have different med brand names on them hint hint*** . Sort of like a pharmasutical (sp?) hiatus. I am still in the "what do we do with her?" phase and unmedicated other than birth control pills. I should know something within a few weeks. I'm glad to hear they did an EKG and some heart tests on you. It's a good thing to get it checked. Sorry you had such a hard time of it. That's really rotten. It's going to be ok. I have faith.
Blessings,
Adina
