I just checked out some of these articles and found lots of great information. Having taken the dex treatment with my 4 yr old SW daughter, I am particularily interested in the long term effects of it. I was surprised to read about the increased instances of (amoung other things) hydrocephalus, and of abnormalities in the white brain matter - BOTH of which my daughter displayed upon a CT scan - and both of which I have never seen documented anywhere else. Although she seems completely fine and normal now, I will definately take a copy of this article along to my endo, and will keep an eye on the other things that they mentioned (such as kidney problems, intrauterine growth disorders, and the like) as she grows. Gee - where would I have heard of this without this message board?! I thank God for each of you.
