re: Anyone else having problems getting Cortef?

One thing we have always tried to do is stay ahead on medicine. At the beginning of the year we were 2 months ahead on Cortef and 1 year ahead on Florinef. Since our copay went way up we decided to use up some of the medicine we had. At the beginning of April we were about a month ahead in Cortef and 9 months ahead on Florinef.  We had ordered 3 months supply of Cortef from the HMO preferred (read kick back) pharmacy, but they took a month to deliver it, so we went ahead and paid cash for a months supply at ou local pharmacy. It turns out that paying cash for a 3 month’s supply was only $8 more than jumping through all the idiotic hoops the HMO required to get it by mail order, so that’s what we’ll do in the future. Right now that makes us 3 months ahead, and we’ll probably go get another 3 month’s supply at the beginning of May so we’ll be 2 1/2 months ahead on Cortef.
